Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Wasfa mobile app and related services ("Wasfa"), operated by ANZ Apps ("we", "us"). By using Wasfa you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Using Wasfa

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Wasfa. You can start without signing in; signing in with Apple or Google lets you keep your library across devices. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your Apple or Google account secure.

Your content

You keep ownership of the recipes, photos, notes and other content you add. You give us a limited licence to store, process, copy, translate and display that content only as needed to run Wasfa for you. You are responsible for having the right to use what you add.

Wasfa is a personal tool for saving and organising recipes. When you share a link, Wasfa extracts the recipe for your own private use. Do not use Wasfa to republish or redistribute other creators' content in a way that infringes their rights. Recipes you save stay private to your account.

AI-generated content

Wasfa uses AI to extract, structure, translate and edit recipes, to estimate nutrition and servings, to suggest ingredient substitutes, to generate images, and to answer your questions in the assistant. AI output can be wrong or incomplete: an ingredient, amount, step, cooking time or temperature may be missing or incorrect, and generated images are illustrations, not photos of the actual dish. Suggested substitutes and the assistant's answers, such as substitutions, scaling and cooking times, are suggestions, not instructions you can rely on without checking. Always check a recipe against the original source and use your own judgement in the kitchen.

Food safety, allergies and nutrition

Nutrition values, dietary labels, suggested substitutes and what the assistant says about allergens, nutrition or food safety are for general information only. They are not medical or dietary advice. If you have an allergy, intolerance or medical condition, check every ingredient yourself and do not rely on Wasfa to identify allergens. Follow safe food handling and cooking practices.

Subscriptions and purchases

Wasfa is free to use with limits. Wasfa Pro is an optional, auto-renewing subscription, and image packs are one-time purchases. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• If a free trial is offered, you will be charged when it ends unless you cancel before then. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you subscribe.
• Buying or restoring a purchase requires signing in with Apple or Google, so it stays with your account.
• Image credits do not expire, and are not refundable or transferable except where required by law. They belong to the account that holds them and are lost if you delete it.
• Features described as unlimited are subject to fair use: we may limit automated or abusive use that goes far beyond personal cooking.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights using Wasfa;
• upload content that is unlawful, harmful or offensive;
• attempt to access other users' data, or probe, disrupt or overload our systems;
• scrape, copy or resell the service, or use automated means to bypass its limits;
• reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Third-party content and services

Recipes often come from social media posts and websites run by others. We are not responsible for that content, and those platforms have their own terms. Wasfa is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook or any recipe site.

Changes and availability

We are constantly improving Wasfa and may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep the service available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update these terms; if the changes are significant we will let you know in the app. Continuing to use Wasfa after an update means you accept the new terms.

Ending your use

You can stop using Wasfa at any time and delete your account in Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Wasfa is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on recipes, nutrition information or AI output. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded Wasfa from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.
